Mari Gayatri Stein

Mari new croppedFormer actress Mari Gayatri Stein traded her hometown of Hollywood for an artist’s vocation in the mountains of Oregon. From the organic farm she shared with her husband and two rescue dogs, she authored eleven books, illustrated countless more, and contributed regular articles to such publications as Inquiring Mind, Tea Magazine, and Healing Garden Journal.

Mari was renowned for her inspiring, whimsical drawings, and her fine art has been displayed in galleries nationwide. In addition, she was a popular practitioner and teacher of meditation and yoga, and she proudly served as a devoted mentor for women in recovery. She passed away in 2017 at the age of 69 from cancer.

Out of the Blue Valise was Mari’s eleventh book and debut novel. Released by Fuze in 2015, it garnered rave reviews and was called “a beautifully written novel that takes the reader on a powerful journey of the heart.”
